The PlayGround is NOT a childcare facility. Adult caregivers must be in attendance and are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children at all times. We reserve the right to dismiss patrons for unsafe or disruptive behavior at any time.
All provided items and equipment must remain within the play area at all times and are to be treated with proper care. Any damage, willful or accidental, must be reported to The PlayGround staff immediately.
Our play space and activities are designed for children ages 0-5 years of age. Older children who must attend with patrons may enjoy our homework/art station, but are not permitted to play in the play areas.
All adults and walking children must wear shoes in the facility. Non-walking infants are not required to wear shoes, but we do recommend [grippy] socks. Clothing must be appropriate for play. Diapers must be covered by some form of clothing (i.e. snapping onesie, pants, shorts, diaper cover).
Food and Drink
We are a NUT FREE facility. Children may enjoy food and beverages in the coffee bar area ONLY. Caregivers may play with their children and enjoy a hot beverage from the coffee bar if it has a lid on it. (Beware, hot coffee is hot!)
Diaper changing is ONLY permitted in the restroom.
The PlayGround provides space for personal item storage during your visit. Baby carriers may come into the play space, but please leave strollers in the foyer. We are not responsible for any personal items.
If you and/or your child are sick and/or displaying symptoms of illness or any communicable condition (fever, rash, sore throat, etc.), please do not attend The PlayGround. We wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you after you are better. The PlayGround reserves the right to refuse admission to or dismiss individuals displaying obvious symptoms of illness.
Delayed openings, cancellations, and early closures due to inclement weather will be posted to The PlayGround’s Facebook page.
The PlayGround reserves the right to refuse admission if maximum occupancy is met. Please call or check Facebook for updates during high volume playtimes.
Please clean hands prior to play. Alcohol-free hand sanitizer is located at the front desk or you may wash hands in the restroom after check-in. Cleaning stations are conveniently located throughout the facility. Please wipe toys and books that make their way into little ones’ mouths.
We reserve the right to photograph learning, play, and celebration activities within The PlayGround. (Please let us know if you do not wish for you/your child to be photographed.) If posted, we will never identify individuals in pictures by name.
The PlayGround may amend policies at any time. Such amendments will be posted for public review.
All massage sessions are by appointment only. Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment in order to complete the intake form and begin your massage on schedule. We will have a one-on-one consult prior to the massage in order that we talk about areas you would like focused on, what stresses you’re experiences, and any prior history of injury. All of these are key in providing you a relaxing and beneficial massage.
We understand when unexpected things happen and you have to adjust your schedule. Cancelling an appointment accrues no extra cost and you will not be penalized for the cost of the massage. When you are able, please let us know soonest when you need to reschedule an appointment. In the event of habitual cancellations (counted as 4 or more) we respectfully reserve the right not to reschedule the appointment.
For first time clients (meaning clients who have never experienced a massage from me) I like to walk you through each step of the massage in order that you fully understand the methods of touch and can communicate with me on pressure, tempo, and location of your concerns. As the massage is fully for your benefit and relaxation, if you choose to remain in a meditative and quiet state that is perfectly acceptable. If you want to talk throughout the massage, that is also perfectly acceptable.
All payments are due at the time of service. A request for extra time during a massage cannot be accommodated as we need to maintain the schedule for the next client. We are more than happy to schedule you for another, and even longer massage, on your next visit.
All pre and postnatal clients should consult their primary care provider prior to scheduling an appointment. Prenatal massages are given in the second and third trimesters only. Please talk with me prior to scheduling if you think you may be pregnant and are still in the first trimester.
There are a few conditions that are contraindications of massage. From my training and experience, should you have any of these contraindications, I am ethically bound to stop services. We will discuss the conditions and derive a therapy plan together.

All photography packages are by appointment only. Appointments are secured with a $25 nonrefundable deposit to be applied towards the full payment.
For event and studio photography at The PlayGround we will have the studio set up and services begin at the time of your appointment. Our goal is to give you the most time for the session without having to use it for set up.
For in-home photo sessions please allow an hour for set up when scheduling the time for this appointment.
Newborn Photography is extremely exciting and your new baby may or may not be in the mood for photos the day of the shoot. We understand completely when your baby needs a change, needs to eat, and needs to be held by mama, daddy, or another caregiver. Because we are at the mercy of the newborn the photoshoot could last hours. Please ensure you have the time blocked out to dedicate to this shoot. If the shoot appears to take excessive time, we will talk about rescheduling the shoot at a later date with no penalty.
We understand when unexpected things happen and you have to adjust your schedule. Cancelling an appointment will only result in payment of the $25 nonrefundable deposit. When you are able, please let us know soonest when you need to reschedule an appointment. In the event of habitual cancellations (counted as 4 or more) we respectfully reserve the right not to reschedule the appointment. If you need to cancel due to an emergency or weather and would like to reschedule, you will not be asked for another $25 deposit.
Should the photographer have to reschedule a planned shoot, we will inform you at the first opportunity and reschedule at your convenience. If you are unable to schedule another shoot and would like to move on with another photographer the deposit will be refunded in this situation only.
All digital files are yours as part of your photography package and you reserve the right to print at your leisure. By signing the release you allow the photographer to post photos on the website, Facebook, and in her portfolio. Your files will be available to you on a secure password protected site within 14 days of the photoshoot. You reserve the right to ask for editing or no editing on the photos.
